The holidays are right around the corner, so I figured no better time to share a list of garments made with thoughtfully sourced textiles. The list includes garments from my brand, brands I have worked with, and brands that source from projects I either have worked on or am familiar with. There are millions of brands for your attention in the next few weeks; I chose the ones below because they took the extra steps to source their textiles mindfully.Â

Mairin 100% merino wool long sleeve baselayer is made with Shaniko Wool from a collective of regenerative ranches in the American West, knit into a super lightweight jersey fabric and undyed or naturally dyed.Â
Janessa Leone also uses Shaniko Wool for their Jenson Beanie, a full-fashioned knit beanie made with a chunky, undyed merino yarn.
Driftless Good’s natural fiber fleeces are made with a pile that is organic cotton on the back and Shaniko Wool fiber on the front.
Wolhide has a liner made with a heavier-weight, brushed Shaniko Wool fabric.

Mairin hand-knit sweater is made with wool from the High Andes, it is undyed and hand-knit.
Maida Goods Nambe Wool Vest is made with Churro Wool grown on their ranch in New Mexico and hand-woven by Indigenous and Indo-hispano artisans in Nambe, NM. Their silver jewelry is amazing too!
Wolhide created a collection of hand-knit accessories made with undyed Alpaca from a small, regenerative alpaca farm near Puno, Peru.Â
Norhla sources all their fiber from Yak in Tibetan Plateau. Some of their garments are blended with silk, like this felted scarf.Â

Oshadi Collective is fully vertically integrated: they grow their own cotton regeneratively, produce textiles, and run a cut-and-sew. They partner with brands but also have a small collection of in-house garments, like this Ikat blouse.
Christy Dawn partners with Oshadi for their regenerative cotton dresses. It is one of the only brands making dresses with regenerative cotton block printed with natural dyes.
RECYCLED
Oshadi tees are made with cotton waste that accumulates as they process the cotton from their farm. Can you get more sustainable than fabric made from recycled regenerative cotton waste?Â
Zii Ropa’s sources heavy-weight cotton for their Renee pant from the New Denim Project, a Guatemalan fabric mill that recycles pre-consumer denim waste into new fabrics.Â
SILKÂ
Ozma of California uses silk from a collective of regenerative mulberry farms in Sichuan, China for its bandanas , woven silk noil for vests and other garments.
Christy Dawn uses the same silk for their holiday collection, including the bias-cut Carmen dress.Â
Christy Dawn also has a small stock left of regenerative cotton, peace silk blend. The peace silk was wild foraged from forests in Central India .
